So my Supercross Saturday’s have got a little carried away and I’ve completely stripped down my girls 50.
I am thinking I want to paint the frame and maybe swingarm.
What’s some helpful hints other than getting it powdercoated ($$$)
Anyone painted a frame before? Best type of paint to use?
Thanks for any help!!!
Dave
Frame Painting
Re: Frame Painting
I would use a single stage Industrial paint imron by axalta or endura they are both a little expensive but strong! powdercoating could actually be less $ i would definitely get a price on both.
If you are going the paint route make sure you prep and clean and use a good compatible direct to metal primer otherwise you are just wasting your time.

Re: Frame Painting
Not sure if you had any luck with this, but I got a quote for a 50 frame once at $100 from a powdercoater here in Calgary.
Didn't end up doing it, but let us know if you do.

Re: Frame Painting
We use jit powder coating here in town, and they seem pretty reasonable. It might be worth the phone call.
Re: Frame Painting
I had just googled it, but I believe i was Calgary Powdercoatings Inc.
It was also black that I was looking for, which is a pretty cheap colour I believe.
