The race will be held on Saturday so if you are on a "Sunday drive" you will not make the second loop.

Booooo... I really want to make that second loop...guess I'll just have to try harder.thirtyseven wrote:The race will be held on Saturday so if you are on a "Sunday drive" you will not make the second loop.
For some reason the 2 hour cutoff and I have a poor history.

It won't be 2 hrs.
It will be whatever Geoff decides.
Speaking of loop two it will be better than I thought. Some fun trail so get on the horse.

We probably will not announce a cut off time until Race day. It is a balance though from keeping it manageable for the sweepers and spectators, to making sure everyone has "enough". Plan on needing to be a top level "b" rider to make cutoff though...
FWIW I think even the guys that only ran the one loop last year were happy with the time.

Top level? Something to shoot for... It`s great that you're giving out finishes to those who complete the first loop, and making the cutoff to ride the second loop offers a challenging goal.AJRJ wrote:We probably will not announce a cut off time until Race day. Does the RMDRA care if I came out to take pictures?
It's been forever since I have had the time to play with camera gear. Figured it would be a good way to spend the day.

=)
I'll see what I can do. Ideally I'd like to get some intell on how to short cut the course or know of locations worth setting up. I don't bother with normal pictures but plan on 2-3 flashes, etc. Makes it difficult to move once set-up to catch the second loop, but I'd need time to get things dialed in prior to race start.
It's been so long I'd have to see if I remember how to do things... haha.

It's great that you are not requiring RMDR memberships it would be nice if CMRC would do a better discount for one day and others would do the same. It's expensive if you just want to "try it out" once. I wanted to go do a race a few weeks ago and I just couldn't justify it $45 entry, $70 CMRC and $35 club membership for a total of $150 just to try out racing for a day? It's one thing if you are doing the whole season your cost per race is reasonable otherwise not so much.thirtyseven wrote:No RMDRA membership required, you do need a CMRC license (the sanctioning body). You can buy a day license for 1/2 price I believe.turbo2point3 wrote:Sounds like a blast!
Can a guy or gal join in without a RMDRA membership and do you need a number or CMA membership?
First race for me and might ask a few friends to join in.
Thanks
