Hey all,
I joined last year and rode a Yamaha IT 175 until I destroyed it. But it’s a new year and I'll have a new bike, hopefully one that will last more than one season!
It is extremely nice to see that there are clubs that care enough about riding to make efforts with SRD to get new trails and keep them open. I look forward to continuing to be part of Rocky Mountain Dirt Riders.
I first experienced riding a dirt bike when I was young and my parents bought me and my brother an old 100 to ride around on. My parents were avid four wheelers, but as soon as I got on that bike I knew I had a different calling. I’m happy to say I am part of a group that is trying to give dirt bikers a good name so that what happened to the four wheelers does not happen to us.
I look forward to riding with all of you this year and hopefully finding a few new camping buddies.

Hey Jenny
How's the bike hunt going? You may be able to find a new old stock Husky CR125/144 for the price you're aiming at. Good luck!

Hi Jenny, you might be happier with a quality motorcycle made specifically for off-road by KTM.

Dave, you're old enough to remember stereoscopic movies right? If you covered the right eye, you would be left with an image only built for the left (blue) eye. What you are currently experiencing is very similar except your orange lenses are covering both eyes. Take them off and you may experience perspectives of all sorts...
I had first suggested two different 105's to her.

The 2011 KTM 150XC has amazing torque for the size of engine. Its tame on the bottom but has some punch when you want it. It's not a 300, thats for sure but It sounds like you would not out grow it for a few years. It's what I ride and I grin every time I get on the tail of a 250 or 300 with my mini bike. I have had a few guys on the trial asks me how I like my 250 and I reach back and wipe the mud off the fender decal and point to 1 one in front of the 50
CycleWorks had a 2012 150XC on the showroom floor.

Welcome Betty, you are right this is a great club with clear motives. Hopefully you can find your next ride soon as it is slowly starting to look like spring

I have always liked the idea of that bike (and the 200) .... it would have to be just like a mountain bike with an engine. Just afraid I wouldn't have the skill to keep it boiling enough to carry my large self up the hills!axel99 wrote:The 2011 KTM 150XC has amazing torque for the size of engine.
