Auto Login Not Working

Post by cedric »

For the past few days, when I visit the site, I am no longer automatically logged in. I have not deleted my cookies, and I can log in, but it does not happen automatically for me any longer. I am still using IE (i know, i know).

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, or if you have any suggestions?

OK. I just changed the site over to rmdra.com from rockymountaindirtriders.com (many requests). I'm still looking at it. For now, I consider the extra click to logon a minor issue, however I will be looking into this issue further since it is in priority sequence. :D

I think I have found the issue.

Change your bookmark to rmdra.com instead of the other link. Then it won't be changing domain names when it should be logging you in.

Thanks DB,

Switching to the new URL did the trick. I thought we weren't going to do that?

I plan to create a redirect page for the front page so it shouldn't be much of an issue. time time time :blah: :blah:

Please set your links back to http://rockymountaindirtriders.com

I have to change the site back to this address for search engine reasons. You will still be able to type in rmdra.com to get to the site, however it should switch you over to rockymountaindirtriders.com once you login.

Sorry the inconvenience.

If you don't get auto login please perform the above procedure.

If you don't know what I'm talking about you can always drag Rocky Mountain Dirt Riders from here to the little house up on your tool bar and life will be good again. :D

Also, the forum directory is open to change so please bookmark the main web page (as above) instead of linking directly to the forum area.

I just had an issue logging on. I use Firefox but perhaps any browser might have this issue. The forum wasn't logging me in automatically and when I logged I was brought back to log in. No issues with the password.

So I did a Tools >> Clear Private Data >> Cache and Authenticated Sessions. (IE terminology will be slightly different.)

Worked like a charm. Everything good again.

Hopefully this might help someone in the future.

That is exactly the issue I have had. I'll try that process to fix 'er up next time.
