Registered Access Only

I wanted to allow guest access to the forums to encourage input from a variety of people. While I still feel this way I find that many users don't realize that they are not logged in resulting in registered users posting as guests.

Issues with users posting as guests:

• This causes confusion to the reader.
  It confuses the user.
  The user loses their post count.
  No private messages are available from the post.
  The user's avatar doesn't display.
  The post loses its personality.
  Doesn't track the threads with posts that you haven't read.
  etc.

Effective January 10, 2005 all forums will require a registered account to post information.

Other feedback from users suggested a registered posting only policy was posted in the Posting Privileges thread.

It is easy to register by clicking on the Register link in the black navigation bar. You will need a working email address to register. After that clicking on Log In in the black navigation bar when arriving will log you in.
