Volunteers Needed! 2019 RMDRA Casino

RMDRA CASINO - CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

Unfortunately for most of 2018 and 2019 the RMDRA has been unable to do large trail maintenance projects due to a change in safety and permitting processes after the death of a volunteer on public land (not dirt bike related). We now have everything in place and have some exciting plans for projects in McLean Creek and Ghost next year. The casino is an integral fundraiser for our club to be able to accomplish these goals.

Fellow RMDRA family it is that time of year again where we are soliciting help for our casino fundraising event. This is a huge source of funding for the club (ie. $60,000-$70,000+) and helps support what we love doing. Therefore, if you can volunteer, think you might be able to volunteer, have any questions or want more info, you can email me at fundraising@rockymountaindirtriders.com or call my cell at 403-462-7140, as we need your help.

We need at least 18 volunteers to fill shifts each day. Please help!

All the roles are very simple, non physical, training only takes a few minutes when you show up and you don't need any gaming knowledge. You don’t need to ride, so family members are welcome (as long as you are 18+ and have not been convicted of a criminal offence in the last 5yrs). All your food and drinks are supplied.

Shift Details:
There are multiple shifts each day and multiple roles.
General Manager – two shifts each day (11am-7:15pm, 7pm-3:30am).
Banker – two shifts each day (11am-7:15pm, 7pm-3:30am).
Cashier – two shifts each day (11:15am-7:30pm, 7:15pm-3:15am). Need minimum of two people for each shift.
Chiprunner – two shifts each day (11:15am-7:30pm, 7:15pm-3:15am). Need minimum of two people for each shift.

Countroom Supervisor– one shift each day (11:15pm-3:30am).
Countroom Staff– one shift each day (11:30pm-4:00am). Need minimum of five people for each shift.

Brief Volunteer Role Descriptions:
General Manager - Responsible for the overall continuity of the casino. Makes sure all volunteer staff arrive and if not, has access to reliable “back-up” volunteer phone numbers. Some data entry required. Can fill in for any volunteer positions for a short period (not a complete shift) of time if needed.
Banker - In control of the cash and chip inventories. This position is mostly data entry and should be staffed by someone who can use a computer mouse!
Cashier - Redeems players’ chips for cash. Little data entry required.
Chiprunner - Delivers chips from the Banker to the game tables as required. Will count chips with the gaming floor staff as required. Data entry is required.
Countroom Staff - Will sort and use money counting machines to count money. Some minor data entry required.

That's unfortunate.
I can't get Thursday off work so the Wednesday night and Thursday day shifts wont work for me. Wish I would have been able to reply earlier.
