Fallen Timber Master Plan

Success. That is the first word that comes to mind here.
After many years of struggles and hard work by many we are finally in a position to say we have some major success in the Ghost. Hendrix 13 and I presented a "master plan" for the development of 400km of legal singletrack in the fallen timber area last week to the GSMG Trail committee. We have buy in and support to move forward on the project. I am presenting an executive summary to the larger GSMG committee on this coming Thursday that outlines how we will be developing and implementing this project. We are at least two years out from having these trails legally on the map, but have the support of ESRD on putting this plan into place. This model will be used to build out trails in the other areas of the Ghost and we are currently working with the 4x4 community to help them develop a trail system using the same model.
There are lots of small details involved here that will come at a later time. I will be putting out a call for volunteers here in the coming weeks to help with the on the ground work that will be needed as well as some technical writing and mapping help. It will be a lot of work, less if we share, but will have a great reward.
