Off-Road Support Program raises $5,000 for Canadian off-road
‘KTM Off-Road Support Program’ generates good response in first year
This past spring, KTM Canada launched their first ever ‘KTM Off-Road Support Program;’ a campaign helping to drive more funds to organizations fighting for rights of Canadian off-road motorcyclists. In its debut, the program generated more than $5,000, which is to be spread between six organizations, representing six regions in Canada:
Nova Scotia Off-Road Riders Association (NSORRA)
Fédération Québécoise des Motos Hors Route (FQMHR)
Ontario Federation of Trail Riders (OFTR)
Saskatchewan Track & Trail (STNT)
Rocky Mountain Dirt Riders Association (RMDRA)
British Columbia Off-Road Motorcycle Association (BCORMA)
Money was raised by people filling out a ‘KTM Off-Road Support Program Coupon’ and dropping it off at their local KTM dealer. For each coupon received, KTM donates $10 to that person’s local off-road organization (open to all riders, regardless of brand). This money will go where it’s needed most; whether that’s trail building in BC or controlling sound in Ontario, it’s up to the organizations to decide.
“It was a good result for the first year, and we’re happy to say the program is coming back in 2013!” says KTM Canada’s Sport & Event Marketing Coordinator, Danny Brault. “KTM encourages riders to support their local off-road organization, financially, but to also take the time to understand specific issues currently facing your area and how you can get involved to find solutions.”
