Watershed study warns of threats

This really frustrates me
I think it’s important that our members know these “comments” by the GWAS are not supported by any science.
Here’s the actual government study that Alberta Environment created in 2006.
http://environment.gov.ab.ca/info/library/7763.pdf
You don’t have to read the whole thing…just the first two pages of the executive summary.
Now let’s compare this to the GWAS comments:
GWAS says:
"We certainly do have a real issue with water quality in the Ghost, that was already pointed out in the water quality study from Alberta Environment in 2006 and it's been reaffirmed by this study," Krainer said.
Alberta Environment Report actually says:
“..There were very few exceedances of water quality guidelines.”
GWAS says:
“.."It shows we have a lot of sediment coming out of the watershed and there's evidence that the sediment does not settle in the Ghost reservoir, but instead keeps going downstream. That means it affects Cochrane's water supply."
Alberta Environment Report…says:
“..Trend analysis did not detect any increase in TSS (sediment) in the Bow River downstream of the Ghost River discharge…”
