I'd like to help out on a future date as well.

What is a good size of chain saw? I may be able to borrow one from my Dad, not sure what size he has yet.

From experience the best saws, due to ease of carrying are sub 40cc and 14/16in bar. A lot of guys have various models of arborist saws, which are nice and light and have a top handle.

I have an Echo with only a 12" bar. Works good for carrying and sawing.

July 9/10, 16/17, 23/24 are CEC or race dates.

It's too bad we didn't have enough folks with saws for June 25. :crybaby:

It sounds like some might still like to go out Saturday or organize smaller parties. Please feel free to organize and I will provide GPS information to anyone that wants to head out in a smaller team. It's not hard to find when riding from Hunter Valley / Fallen Timber.

If those that planned to head out this weekend can still make it, we would all appreciate the effort.

Even if it doesn't get fully cleared it will be that much closer to being done.

To add, since there is no Guided Ride next Wed, if anyone can head out there instead to help with the clearing, please post that you can join. I'll be available next Wed to toss junk off the trail if others can come out with saws to cut the blow down.

If you're a regular rider in the guided ride program, this is your chance to give back. The more trails we work on, the better the riding in the future.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a trail system in the Ghost like what we have in Mclean?
The voices are back. Awesome!

My time is in question for Saturday ...competing with other inititatives that have become critical so against my will I'll have to bow out for this weekend. Still committed to the cause, it will just be too big a stretch this weekend.

I'll be camping at Fallen Timber August Long weekend. If you let me know what trails need to be cleared (ie GPS track). I can start working on it.

Hendrix,

I plan to be out Saturday. What time should I be there for breakfast? And I don't need anything special, just bacon, eggs, multigrain toast, pancakes with raspberries and coffee.

So the same as last time :smirk:

I don't really have a plan yet, but I figured if I'm out there and I get the chance I could get some things done. It's supposed to be a "family" weekend but it doesn't hurt to bring along a chainsaw, ribbon and signs...just in case

BTW: The SGC is racing from there this weekend.
