Ok so for June 25 we have: (correct me if I'm wrong please)

Saws:
250Scott
golarge

Throwers:
Hammer
Grumps
Rider Eh!

I think we need a few more to make 2 full teams and cut through the trail. Anyone else want to come out on Saturday? I received quite a few PMs previously, what about some of you folks? The forecast for Saturday June 25 is Sunny and 18.

I re-rode the trail to the cutting area and it is a little more challenging than the barwell switch backs just because it is a little thinner but it is a really fun trail. It is way easier than the Fallen Timber trail that we worked on last year. I would say it is like a barwell trail, kinda rocky. We cleaned out quite a few more trail hazards going up the hill so I don't think it should be a problem .

Sorry, can't make the 25th. Will be out east.

Good luck and thanks for doing it.

Dave,

FYI I think my saw is a walk in saw, it's a 49cc Stihl.

I think that the clearing day is now in jeopardy. Of our 2 saws, 1 is a maybe at best.

Stay tuned. If we don't get more folks together we will have to try another day.

Mr. Dirtyboy, I should be able to make it and if I can't I can get my saw to you before I leave so you have two saws. Mine is easily carried in a back pack (which I will even supply if I can't make it).

I really enjoy the trail maintenance/preparation days but schedule wise I can't make this one. I really enjoy the Cornergrass event and that happens this weekend. I will stay posted for other days.

Cheers,
Aaron

I'd love to help but my torn achilles isn't quite healed enough. If anyone needs a bigger saw I have 2 77cc Stihls that someone could borrow.

DirtyBoy, sign me up for the 25th. I don't have a suitable saw to carry on a bike, but can run someone elses or just practice my Scottish highland games Caber Toss skills. Thanks for dealing with all the logistics of trying to make this happen.

Re: Trail clearing - Ghost NW ***POSTPONED***

Post by dirtyboy »

OK I don't want to un-necessarily mess up anyone's weekend plans. Thank you to all that offered their help and equipment but I think that we will need to postpone this initiative until we can get at least 4 saws (with operators) and another 4 helpers to throw cut stuff out of the way. Let's try another time.

Saw operators please suggest some times that you would like to help clear trail and we'll see if we can get another day queued up to get the work done. Once we get some suggestions then I'll re-organize to get the 2 teams working on the trail. It would be nice to get the trail opened up.
