Land Use Framework Documents

Post by dirtyboy »

Good Afternoon,
I am very pleased to advise that the Honourable Ted Morton, Minister of Sustainable Resource Development today released the Government of Alberta’s Draft Land-use Framework.
The Draft Land-use Framework charts new direction in how land-use decisions are made in Alberta. It provides a strategic blueprint for all levels of government and Albertans as we make decisions today about the province we want in the future.
The input you have provided to date has been very important, and has helped shape the draft Land-use Framework.
The draft Land-use Framework, the Draft Land-use Framework Public Feedback Survey, the Land-use Framework Multi-Stakeholder Working Groups Roll-up Report and the Jurisdictional Review Report are now available on the LUF website: http://www.landuse.gov.ab.ca
I have attached the draft framework, announcement package, and public questions and answers for you information.
There will be at least 2 opportunities for you to provide input. The first one is to provide your feedback on the draft to the Working Groups by end of day May 23. There will be a second opportunity in early June to provide input and you will get an email with details.
If you are providing specific feedback to one of the working groups, their email addresses are:
If you are providing overall feedback, please use this email address: LUF@gov.ab.ca
You can also complete the online survey.
If you have any questions, please contact me. Note: you may get more than one email as you may be on more than one email contact list.
Thank you for your continued interest in the development of the Land-use Framework and have a good day.

Nice timing...NOT!
After the wonderful sensationalized coverage of Maclean this past long weekend, isn't it a bit convenient for the SRD to ask for public input?

What do you think the average citizen is going to want? Citizens that have never been there but 'feel' like they have after seeing the news this week.
Thanks again SRD for your great timing :banghead:
Its so hard to compete against a stacked deck.
This input can not possibly go well for the truly responsible majority OHV user.

:soapbox:
