I see snowmobile trails also. I wonder what that does for Winter riding?

I agree, many bike trails.

Elbow Falls is officially not accessable via OHV :applause: I think that will help clean up our nasty OHV image.

Thanks Dylan for all your hard work and the fact this was literally 'dumped' on you at the last minute.

A few points to add.
The trail access to Elbow Falls was closed a couple of years ago, but users keep tearing down the signs and going through anyway. Sad.

Getting to where we are now -having designated single track trails on a map took a ton of work by the AOHVA to get Gov to recognize that all OHV users are NOT the same group. About 4 years of beating this drum. A HUGE win for us at the AOHVA and a good start for access plans all over Alberta. RMDRA was also a major part of this process a couple years ago.
As for winter riding- The snowmobile community(Calgary Snowmobile club and the Alberta Snowmobile Assn.) did not recommend or endorse any snowmobile trails for the Mclean Creek map.The official position is that due to severe rutting on trails that could be usable for snowmobiles this rutting makes these trails unsuitable for snowmobile use. And. The Alberta Snowmobile Assn. officially supports a system of all-season single track trails in the Mclean Creek FLUZ. A letter to this effect was sent to SRD when the new map was being put together.

Sorry Guys this may be a stupid question but what trails are we allowed to ride on? I would assume with a motorcycle we should be able to ride all moto,4X4 and quad trails? Not sure about the snowmobile and shared trails?

Thanks :bonk:

Trail access is based on width. If you fit you can go. Hopefully fairly soon we can get "control points" established on trail heads, which are posts, rocks, etc that limit the width of unit you can take on a trail.
