Subject: Thursday Update

Hi Everyone,

Few updates for you.

Social media is gaining momentum, and some good conversations, groups and people spreading the word. No doubt Ms. Shannon Phillips is working with her writers to figure out how to deal with this. She is being taken to task on her comments for sure.

Some of you may have seen the letter I was passing around about Shannon Phillips telling Gary Clark (QuadSquad) not to worry. I had put Shelia Gunn Ried in touch with him, and she has with his permission – released it in her latest video. Thank you to both of them, this needed to get out. Very appreciative with her efforts and support on this issue. Video here: http://www.therebel.media/update_proof_ ... e_park_ban

Tonight, the Alberta Fish & Game released their letter of support to OHV’s in Castle. If your on facebook, please be sure to visit them and comment with your appreciation. I’ve attached the letter.

Garrett Payne has created a Save Castle Multi Use Group page, (https://www.facebook.com/groups/101186027065976/) and it’s focus it to be a single info source for all events, rallies upcoming. Rocky Mountain Trail Blazers has a lot of great info, and is very active as well.

There is also a new group called Castle Area Recreational Management Alliance (CARMA), http://castle-carma.com/, whom I working with as well. Check them out.

We had the AOHVA/COHV Conference call today, expect to see a lot more in the media in the next couple of weeks folks.

Glad to see everyone standing bar to bar on this issue, crisis build community – and we’ve got a great one.

Regards’

Garett Schmidt

Quick Note, I received an email this morning regarding the survey on the AEP site for Castle:

For the survey on AEP's site the deadline is March 20, 2017 for completion. Please note to make sure you pay close attention to questions 4 and 5 and answer neither agree or disagree and put comments in that you support OHV and random camping.
These are questions in which any other answer shows support for the bans.

Provide your comments and input to Alberta Environment and Parks at the link below – deadline is March 20, 2017.

Please forward this email to club members, family, friends and anyone else that you feel may be interested.

This survey reads very similar to objectives set out in Y2Y does it not? right with the first question with connectivity. If you agree with the objectives you are agreeing to Castle being the start and then applying this north until the plan is complete. Dont agree with the first question and you will sound like an environmental terrorist. These surveys are B.S. especially since this exact same type of survey has been done before and what did they do? Pulled the rug right out from under all stakeholders.
