Unibiker Guards

Post by calltrex »

i was going to get bulletproof ones but they don't protect the side that great. and a steep price on top of that.

I went with Unibiker Rad guards. http://www.unabiker.com

Wrap all the way around and crush supports in front and behind rad

5 Supports per rad plus the wrap around grill

if u have a fan you have to leave 1 support out

can wind your steering stops in all the way with these.

Those are some beefy rad guards! How do the shrouds fit? On my 08, the extra side protection makes the shrouds stick out further and the bottom bolt is always a chore to get on.

thats why I don't like anything other than bpd. ultimately guards like unabiker and EE/Moose make the shrouds crack and then break right off.

I've had similar experiences. The lower mounting bolt tab on the shroud gets ripped off easily. There's always a compromise... I guess that shrouds are alot cheaper than rads though

I don't bolt the lower hole in the shroud anymore, I zip tie it, that way a hard snag breaks the ziptie and (usually) saves the lower shroud hole.

And my lower shroud tabs are usually pounded in anyhow.

Found this old post while searching up info on Unibiker Rad Guards. Any one still using these?

Website looks legit and appears to give some good all around protection. Some complaints about minor modifications for mounting but nothing major.

Looking at a set for a 2013 300XCW. Price point beats most the other players but if the past proves anything “you get what you pay for”.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

Thought I’d do a follow up to this.

I decided to get a set of the Unibiker rad guards and just finished installing them this afternoon. They bolted right on no modifications or challenges at all.

They appear to be quite solid with a full cage in the front and bracing bars top, centre and bottom on the front and back sides of the Rad’s.

They should hold up to my riding style quite well!

See you out there!

GW
