Tks Hammer. Here's the photo. That's not my dirty fingernail.

The split case was a perfect opportunity for some peace of mind to inspect & measure everything else and ensure it was a one-off thing. I'll let you know when she's reassembled and we'll go for a rip

So that bearing in the picture is seized up and the outside race was spinning in the case?

Looks to be the case I would say......a clear case of improper assembly at the factory. That would have been a nasty situation if it eventually let go considering the clearances.

That looks like the inner bearing race to me.

My bike is making the same noise. What is the bearing called. I'll Order one it takes Forever to get anything so it will be a waiting game. Which bearing that it ended up being would be great if you could tell me. Thanks in advance.

I think this was a bad crank bearing. Usually the ignition side go's first.

Use a good retaing compound, loctite, the green stuff, freeze the bearing and heat the case. Replacement will usually drop right in with a few light taps.
