Wasn't the Freeride the moniker for their electric bike that never came to fruition? Nice to see the electric power train is still in the forefront of their minds...

Some more info, this thing has piqued my interest, but I can't tell if it's going to be a gnarly trail ripper, or more of a toy bike. Seems like a fair bit of trials bike infused into a standard dirt bike.

That thing weighs a tonne! My DRZ would put it to shame.

yeah I saw the typo too, 99.5kg without fuel is on the spec sheet, that's pretty light for an e-start thumper. Gotta be 40-50 pounds lighter than my old 400.

Cedric, you're probably right more of a toy bike.

And for the record I'm only 800kg's.

I wonder if this is a Europe only bike?

It seems kinda different for sure and i don't think really all that necessary, the full size 350 is just a bit heavier and has 2" more suspension travel. for all out trials riding the freeride looks to big and too heavy and too much suspension???? Don't really know too much about trials though so i may be talking out of turn here.

Looks pretty capable here, but these guys could probably make a Z50 look awesome:

I'm confused about the excitment over this 99 kg, 24 hp bike. It sounds to me like it's just a big bore ttr230 with slightly better suspension.

A 200 2t makes almost twice the hp and weighs the same with better suspension.

Perhaps the pricing will be in line with the ttr but with a ktm twist
The voices are back. Awesome!

My take is that they are trying out a whole new concept. I think that this Freeride will make a TTR look and feel like a harley with knobbies. The TTR is just a price point compromise while the Freeride looks like a DB/Trials hybrid fun bike. I guess we'll see.

I think it would be a great beginners bike. Low seat, low weight, low power.
Yup. Got a new one.
