stripped oil plu.. quick and cheap fixes?

I found out my oil drain plug was stripped and was looking for a way to fix it?

You need to get a heli-coil or TimeSert. Not too expensive.
Will be cheaper if somebody here has already done it and has the kit with a few inserts kicking around.
Unless you are saying the head is stripped, in which case you need to get the old one out and replace with a new one.

Thanks we tried the heely coil and it fits but it still has a slow leak is there a better way to help it seal?

The copper washer is supposed to make the seal. Have you replaced it?

Make sure the heli coil insert is below the face of the mating surface and what DB suggested.

At this point, I think the only option left is to buy a new bike.

we put some thread sealing tape on the threads and it hasnt has problems since we've done so
