I need to borrow one to determine the length of my chain, wore out is fine, just for mockup.

This is the really cool little application that will calculate the required chain length for a application, don't forget about the chain slack.

The test fit is the best approach for sure, at least with a quick calc you will know the minimum length, maybe that chain is on sale
