KTM Power valve spring
06 250 XC-W comes with choice of 3 different power valve springs. Delivered with middle choice. Installed red spring(SX). Way fun. It is staying in unless very slippery riding conditions. KTM guys-Give it a go go, you may like it.

I am going to try it just for fun, but from what I have read it will definetly not be in my bike for any slippery/greasy rides. I have the Rekluse with the T/C balls right now and with the yellow (stock) spring I was getting serious "SNAP" that was a bit much to handle in the slippery greasy stuff. I think the Rekluse with the heavier balls give the bike way more hit than the stock. (kind of like a heavier fly wheel??) I put the green spring in and I had great hook-up, and still pretty good snap... but I think most would find the green spring would mellow the bike a bit to much.
I also read if you want to try something really fun, take the smaller PV spring right out ( ie no red, yellow or green spring) Only on rides with good traction!! otherwise you could end up..

Re: PV spring
Then I'd have to become a better rider, since I wouldn't be able to take advantage of my superior machinery.thumper-darryl wrote:Orange is so much fun. Why don't ya come over to the dark side?

vet class
Anybody who rides in the vet class should take note of that bike, as that is all you will be able to handle very soon.
$10.00 for a can of orange paint and we are good to go.

Now I can play with the PV springs. Well actually I like the green spring. Nice and smooth just like my 4 stroke.
