Rad repair

Post by MtnBlue »

I've got a small crack in my rad somewhere( I'll know tonight when I pull it off). Is there anywhere in Calgary that would be able to fix this?

do a search in this section and you will find a thread on the subject. I am not sure how to link to it or I would save you the time. It is on the 2nd page somewhere.

Sorry MtnBlue, You asked me this also.

I have used Tops Radiator on 40th AveNE. I have had 2 repairs and he fixed it first time both times.

Tell him you read it on RMDRA. (I want to sell him ads in the future)

I have used Calgary Radiator in the past. It might be worth a look on e-bay for a used rad.

It's amazing what you'll keep from old bikes. I had a slightly tweaked, but not leaking left side rad from my previous 01 WR. Thank god for that, cause new rads are expensive :bonk:

This stuff is bad news! Good to get you home from the bush only. I would never use it. I would solder the leak if at all possible, it's not difficult with the right flux etc. :blah:
Rad shops are great at soldering, definately the way to go.
