Brakes - what kind?

Post by RoachToast »

What kind of brake pads should I get, carbon, metal or sintered metal? What are the differences between them?

carbon pads are race only(minimal metal content)-great stopping power but high pad wear-easier on rotors-(my choice for all but mud races) / Most sintered-metal pads have a much higher content of metal in them to slow down wear-works great in mud but is overall harder on rotors. The stopping power is a bit less than the carbon pads but I think you need to be a world class pro to feel the stopping difference- Also the carbon pads are usually quieter-hope this helps :D
IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MANY HOURS YOU PUT IN. IT MATTERS WHAT YOU PUT IN THE HOURS!!!
