13/52 works great for me and a few others I know...and I would stick with that IMHO!

14/47 would be great if you want to enter the Dakar!! ( to much top end speed, not enough low end)

Good Luck

Gearing is somewhat bike dependant. I run 13-48 on my 525. When this setup wears out I will going to a 14-52.

Absolutely, it is bike dependent...pretty sure SpinalGuy is on a 300 and the 13/52 is probably the best set up for the stuff we ride....a 13 on a 525 must burn up pretty quick!!

Thanks guys!

Hey Brad,
do you still have the original 300 exhaust? Are you using it? Do you want to sell it?

I have a 13 up front and a 50 in the rear of my 250SX and it works great, when it isn't in the shop that is :crybaby:

Actually the 13T is lasting great. The power delivery is smoooooth. The 13 was a quick, cheap fix to knock the gearing down. When it all wears out I will going to 14-52.

I too run a 14/52. This is my first season on this new gearing. Last year I was running 14/48 and I found the bike wouldn't climb into the powerband in 1st on really steep ugly uphills after I screwed up and let the revs drop. :banghead: I am not so good at the clutching thing yet so the bike would eventually die out.

Now that I have the new gearing I have yet to die out on the really ugly steep hills..it never fails to climb into revs in first. (no matter how bad I 'foul' it up) This new gearing has also improved my clutching...

I forgot to mention that I am running a KTM hard parts stealth sprocket. This is the same one in the Dirt Bike mags advertised for $129US. I bought my KTM stealth sprocket from A&E in Brooks for $92 and this thing is not only mean looking it is going to last forever

Did you guys see the other thread about sprockets?

Oh yeah, I use 13/52 (stock) on my bike. I bought a 12 to keep in my weekend box just in case of some really steep race hills. :D
