Actually the 13T is lasting great. The power delivery is smoooooth. The 13 was a quick, cheap fix to knock the gearing down. When it all wears out I will going to 14-52.MotorEd wrote:Absolutely, it is bike dependent...pretty sure SpinalGuy is on a 300 and the 13/52 is probably the best set up for the stuff we ride....a 13 on a 525 must burn up pretty quick!!

I too run a 14/52. This is my first season on this new gearing. Last year I was running 14/48 and I found the bike wouldn't climb into the powerband in 1st on really steep ugly uphills after I screwed up and let the revs drop. I am not so good at the clutching thing yet so the bike would eventually die out.
Now that I have the new gearing I have yet to die out on the really ugly steep hills..it never fails to climb into revs in first. (no matter how bad I 'foul' it up) This new gearing has also improved my clutching...

Oh yeah, I use 13/52 (stock) on my bike. I bought a 12 to keep in my weekend box just in case of some really steep race hills.
