Crimp Style Fuel Hose Clamps

Post by cedric »

Hey I'm changing the in tank filter on my bike and want to use the same style crimp clamps that came on it, but can't seem to locate them at the usual auto supply houses. I don't have time to wait for an order. Anyone know a place that keeps them in stock?

Cycleworks had one when I needed to replace one half of my quick-connect.

There's a kit on Amazon too if you have Prime: https://www.amazon.ca/Hilitchi-70pcs-St ... 5690392011

I’m pretty sure Home Depot has them in stock. I used them to fix an RV water line. Unfortunately they are with my trailer otherwise you could borrow it.

Certainly look like the same thing. Says it's for PEX fittings: https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.12-i ... 13657.html

Thanks guys. Unfortunately the Home Depot clamps are 1/2" and the in tank filter needs 3/8". I think our resident hillbilly has something for me to use.

BTW, anyone looking to do the same, the oem filter is quite expensive, and there are readily available matching spec filters available from your local auto parts store.

3/8" clamps are too big for this job...

in the absence of a suitable oetiker clamp, the parts stores often have stainless "fuel line" clamps that will work.

Auto value has fuel injection hose clamps similar to what Malcolm posted. You don’t need any special crimping tool and they are designed to not cut or bind the hose.

I used the clamps Malcolmzilla shows with good success, replaced the fuel pump on my Burg.
