Hey guys looking for some insight/opinions on how any of you have got your Yamaha 250X carbs set up.
Out of the box it seems super rich. It came with 178 main and a 50 pilot.
Hit up thumper talk and I’ve read many going with 175 main and 48/45 pilot.
I’m In Cochrane and ride mostly Waiprous and Crowsnest Pass.
Any suggestions will help. Looking for spring/summer settings. I don’t like the winter.
Thanks folks.

Re: 2018 YZ250X carb set up
Hi,
I am running a 2017 250X, all stock. I am running a JD jetting kit. It has me on a 172 Main and blue needle 2nd clip right now (riding ice on ghost lake), but once it warms up I should end up at a 170 main and red needle 2nd clip as per the JD instructions. I ride the same areas.

Can't go wrong with the JD kits

I was out for a ride today. 170 main, 45 pilot, JD jetting red needle 3rd clip, and air screw 1 and 1/2 turn out. It was pretty good!
