Penny Tech KTM Front Sprocket Guard Mod

Alright time for me to contribute as it's been a while. This one's free to do.

What I've been doing for years is trimming the front sprocket chain guard so that mud/skag/grass etc. clears out and washes out more easily. Just use a standard hack saw and trim to your liking.

Nice work. I do the same mod to mine, but do it on the bike with a pair of sidecutters. No need to remove bolts as the plastic is fairly soft.

Interesting, I may take a look at that shortcut next time. Just a note though to check the bolt on the backside of the frame that bolts the top of the slider, mine was loose from factory so I put a bit of the blue goop on it. That was a tip to me from dirtyboy.

Yep, I've lost that inside bolt before. :thinking: Also, the inside bolt on the smaller, lower chain slider has been an issue from the factory for me. Tighten and loctite them both. :thumbsup:
