2010 berg

Postby rpollard » Wed Nov 01, 2017 7:03 pm

Having trouble getting the tank off, I want to re-do some wiring that the previous owner did. 2010 husaberg 450fe. I have read take the rad out, or drop the rear sub frame. Any help? Thanks.

Love riding my 570, but sure hate working on it, there ain't a finger width of room under there

Subframe can be dropped for wiring access, I don't recommend removing it fully.

IIRC rough steps:

remove seat
take a good picture of how all the underseat wiring components are located
disconnect battery
remove rad shrouds
remove exhaust can
remove subframe brace
remove two top subframe frame bolts, loosen third lower one
subframe should drop enough to open up the underseat wiring - watch out for the fuel pump wiring not to get yarded
i chose to fish my auxiliary power wire under the seat to the airbox and under the rad shrouds to the front, keep it away from heat and abrasion

tank i cant recall where the bolts are from memory, but if you pull the air filter and push the boot through the tank, you can move it a bit - i cant recall if the header has to come off too, but then you should be able to fish a wire through there
