Steahly weight and motor knock

I just threw a Steahly flywheel weight on my 2006 Honda cr250, it ran great while testing up and down the alley and was fine. But when I stopped and let it idle it sounded like the motor was knocking at very low idle. I'm fairly sure it wasn't knocking before putting the weight on. Has anyone else encountered this? I'm hoping it's just bottom end grunt from added weight and not a bent conrod or crank. (I did run it out of gas on the last ride last year, bad)

I wonder if the new flywheel weight may be contacting anything? You could also try to slowly turn the engine over (with the kick start) to see if there are any tight spots in the engine.

CR250 (2 stroke), just remove the ignition cover and run it. You can also try to move the crank up and down on the ignition side to see if you have any play.

Thanks for the tips guys. I ran it on the May long and it ran fine. It's always idled really low and I've never heard any sort of knocking before. I'm 98% sure the flywheel isn't contacting and I did turn the engine over just fine, but I'll try running it with the cover off. No play in the crank though. I'm thinking it's just something with the motor doing more work to turn the extra 10 ounces. But if it blows it blows!
