Headlight on a Budget

Pulled the trigger on a new bike, it does not come with a front light. Looking for some ideas on my cheapest option to be legal.

I have zero intentions of ever riding at night, I realize that stuff happens and you can get caught out after dark, hasn't happened to me yet, so I'm willing to role the dice (famous last words).

What's the cheapest solution I can get away with and be legal?

Although I'm sure some people might disagree, there are many good bicycle lights that are very bright that more than meet the requirement.

Around $10-$20, but they definitely are consumable (not crash resistant)

Headlight

Mount to number plate

Taillight

Mount on a simple L bracket and bolt it to your muffler mount.

A simple switch wired to the battery is all you need to worry about then.

Axel99 has a pretty slick setup with a Pricess Auto light, look through his posts I'm sure he put up some pictures/details.

If your budget is closer to $200 this may be a option for you.

I am asking $150 for the plug and play harness you should be able to source a headlight and taillight for $50. I will support Fan, heated grips, taillight, headlight. So what you need and what you may want. I have one available that is not spoken for.

Thanks Alex. I think my FX comes prewired for lights, I might just break down and buy the light from the FE from BFD.

Might as well have some usable light...

Buy a FE mask, make an adapter plate, and put a cheap chinese LED flood in it.
