Linkage Protection?

Post by CPitty »

Looking to put some linkage protection on my 2015 350 XC-F...any recommendations? I have a Scorpion skid plate on there now, so I was hoping I could just add something to what I already have. Thoughts?

In the same boat curerntly..

I'm trying to source some 1/4" UHMW sheet (same plastic they make chain slide and guides from)... cut a chunk 5"x10" (ish) bolt it on the back of the skid plate..

I would think it should provide enough impact protection.. not forever but easy to replace.

Obie, i have them on two bikes, great product. Light, glides over rocks/logs well, keeps mud out of linkage and is cheap $$.
Available at BFD.

I run one of these and it is bullet proof. A seamless transition between the skid and linkage. I have wrecked fastways before so I know I am a good test pilot. I am not afraid to run this in Moab or in endurocross.

However, if you have a skid already, then the Obie is awesome too

I picked up a bullet proof designs link guard it covers the lower section of the linkage but it is not complate coverage like a Fastway. once I test it on a few logs and rocks we will see how it holds up.
