GPS / Strava Master maps.

Hey guys, i've been wanting to do a master mapping project for quite some time of AB and BC. I have a good two years off and have been trying to research technologies / programs to be able to create geospatial .pdf's or upload tracks from my garmin but I am so unbelievably confused. If someone has knowledge on how you guys did Maclean Creek .gps and printable maps please contact me.
