Anyone here have experience riding the Husaberg 390? I may have a chance to trade my '07 525exc for a '10 Fe390. I love my 525, but it can be a handfull at times. Thoughts?

Though I don't believe the scale weight of the Husaberg is much less than the 525, I do believe that the feel and handling are worlds lighter. I say go for it!

You will give up your street legal status, if that matters to you, but the 390 will make a better bike for the trails here, and it's fuel injected, plus Husabergs are cool.

I had a FE390, it actually felt really nimble riding but statically top heavy, especially with the 70 deg engine it was a bit of a pig to pick up so..... depends how often you need to pick up your bike off the ground :D

I had the fuel boil a couple of times due to the proximity of the header to the composite tank, but they do sell heat shields for those tanks which I would have fitted, had I had kept the bike.

I had mine set up with a Rekluse and overall it was a sweet bike, I would certainly believe it more trail friendly than the 525.

The 70 degree bergs heat soak the fuel tank badly, even more so in technical slow riding.
You can have the header and mid pipe ceramic coated at Top gun for about $100, add $20 of heat wrap from Mopac and GTG.
Also make sure it has the updated fuel pump with slightly larger clearances.
