KTM Cap Tool

Post by Metastable »

Hey Guys, I have a 2010 200 XCW - open cartridge forks. I never knew I needed a special tool to take off the cap on the top of the forks.... and I was hoping to change the fork oil before riding on Sunday. Anyway - anyone know who might have one in stock? Also, are there any different models of cap tools, or just one? I just want to make sure if I buy one, that it's for the correct bike.

Also - anyone know the suggested Torque for the fork cap?

Thanks in advance!

Try cycle works or blackfoot direct. Just torque the caps to 15nm.

All I have ever used to split XCW forks are the bolt for preload on the top. Make sure you reset it once you put it back together. The torque for the triple clamps hold that cap on.
