#FreeBikeFriday

Post by Dave P »

Well I am a day late, but yesterday was over for dinner at my parents, when the guy from next door came over. Had bought this beauty for his son, but his son didn't want it. He knew I restored (term used very lightly, more like cleaned and got running) a 1980 RM100 for my sister. So asked if I wanted it. Figured who wouldn't turn down a free dirt bike.

1977 Yamaha DT-100 Enduro

Not much history on the bike, but looks pretty complete. Says as of last Sept it was running, but spent the winter outside beside the house.

Biggest plus is that it has lights, signals, speedometer, etc, so I can get around some campsite rules of no riding off road bikes in camp.

Koocanusa Cruiser! haha

Anyways, anyone else rocking some vintage stuff? Any experts on these old bikes? Its got a oil reservoir and takes straight gas, so gotta read up on these.

Awesome score

I recall old Can ams had the oil injector sludge too, best trick was too plug that stuff off and mix the gas.
