repacking Turbine Core 2

Post by clamacious »

I thought I'd get ambitious and repack my Turbine Core 2 silencer. When I pulled the front part of the silencer out to get at the packing I noticed that the spark arrestor portion stays behind as a separate piece that is secured by rivets. And sure enough it's got packing on it too. So I'm assuming that to get it out and repack the whole silencer I'll need to drill out the s/a rivets? Or should I leave the s/a alone for now and just repack the front portion that I was able to pull out?

I popped the rivets off my turbine core 2 and gave a good blast of heat and a good wire brush treatment. It can get a good build up of carbon and start to restrict the exhaust.
