Hitch Carrier

I bought a hitch carrier for my SUV (princess auto had them on sale). The carrier itself is sturdy, but the connection to my hitch still has a little movement. Has anyone else come across this and is there a way to "snug" it up to reduce the play? I have a Thule hitch mountain bike carrier and the pin is actually a threaded bolt. When it goes on the hitch it is completely solid. I am wondering if there is a way to do this type of thing with the motor bike carrier?

Thanks
Colin

You can also get the threaded hitch pin and nut (has a spring welded on it to keep in place) at the "hitch shop" by Blackfoot.
I find they work well too.

Even better, might be easier to use. Thanks!

I tacked on a thin piece of metal on but these other 2 options are good. I also welded a vertical tube between the bike and my suv only requires 1 strap for tie down (I do use a safety) but it also prevents accidental rear window smashing.
