New Leatt Helmet

Post by Brass »

Has anyone been able to try on the new Leatt helmet?

They are supposed to be hitting shelves soon but I haven't seen any yet. Since they are meant to match up with the neck brace, I'm very interested in hearing some first hand reports.

Leatt claims it weighs 1250g, a touch heavier than my Suomy but on par with Fox V4 and similar. Possibly worth the weight penalty if it improves the range of motion.

Pricing seems in touch with the higher end helmets, $425 on some Canadian web stores.
The voices are back. Awesome!

BTW I also saw this helmet.. only at the bike show, looked awesome, loved the compatibility aspect and similar to 6D tech (rubber dampers). They were to be here for March and I promptly tried to get my hands on one.

Only to find that they were back ordered until July. Maybe next year.

That helmet looks awesome. I like the looks of the venting, and trust Leatts' view of the safety aspects.

In the meantime, I may give the new Klim F4 ECE a go, as I like helmets with lots of airflow..
