2016 KTM's
2016 KTM's
Looks like the 350 is an all new bike for 2016, frame, body work, engine, guessing the sub-frame my be a composite like Husky, I've also heard rumors KTM is going air suspension for 2016. I assume this ties in with KTM's statement awhile back that they wanted to have the lightest bikes on the showroom floor while retaining E-Start. Lots more pics in the link.

Neat looking machine. I saw another article claiming the bike will be 11lbs lighter than the current version.

Well that didn't take long! Less than two years after the President of KTM North America stated one of their main goals was to have the lightest bikes on the show room floor while retaining E-start - mission accomplished. Man do these look awesome, a game changer for sure.

At first I didn't really like the airbox side number plate, but those TLD bikes look pretty sweet! http://racerxonline.com/2014/12/06/gall ... -ktm-intro" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: 2016 KTM's
Unfortunately no new XC 150 for 2016. It will likely show up in 2017 along with an all new SX/XC 250/300 2T.
Things are looking promising for an all new 2017 XCW 250/300 as well. Lars Enockl was riding (in Erzberg ) what is likely a pre-production Euro spec EXC 300, which is similar to our NA spec XCW.

I don't think Russia is going to work out. Looks like I'm headed to China, as they have offered me diplomatic immunity.axel99 wrote:The ktm snowden files. Trail guy when you moving to Russia?
I've got to do something quick before I end up in a bunker deep underground below the town of Mattighofen.

Just looking on the KTM Canada website and see both a 200 XC-W and a 200 EXC for 2016.
So what's up with that? Surely the 200 EXC can't be street legal like the four stroke EXCs? Only differences I can see on the spec page are a smaller fuel tank and taller 14:45 gearing for the EXC. Both bikes appear to have the same PDS frame.

Re: 2016 KTM's
I'm pretty sure thats a typo on their website, the EXC is a Euro model and the XCW is the only 200 coming to Canada.AM407 wrote:Just looking on the KTM Canada website and see both a 200 XC-W and a 200 EXC for 2016.

Re: 2016 KTM's
That was my first thought, but then I saw that Cycle Works in Calgary has the 200 EXC listed on their website also. But, now that I think about it, Cycle Works probably just cuts and pastes off the KTM website, so likely just a mistake.trailguy wrote:I'm pretty sure thats a typo on their website, the EXC is a Euro model and the XCW is the only 200 coming to Canada.AM407 wrote:Just looking on the KTM Canada website and see both a 200 XC-W and a 200 EXC for 2016.

Still, you'd think a major manufacturer like KTM could at least get their website right.

Confirmed, there will be no 2016 EXC 200 coming to Canada.
