How was the clutch pull? I have heard a lot of people didn't like the clutch pull and feel on the EXP core 2.0.

How did the 3.0 compare to the stock clutch feel, response, etc.

The clutch pull is the same as stock basically. Perhaps it feels a bit more springy with the stock clutch lever. I think the slave cylinder does a good job.

I have the CoreEXP so it replaced everything (except the fibers and the outer clutch hub) including the clutch springs. The 350XCF has a strong clutch pull anyway so I run the Klever lever and it's super easy. One finger all day, just like with the stock clutch setup.

The clutch lever doesn't change how it works from idle to redline. I do notice a slight amount of creeping when the clutch is disengaged and you rev it up with the Klever lever. I think that is because of its limited actuation amount due to the change in leverage. How's that for technical? :smirk: Klever lever moves twice as far for the same actuation as the stock lever.

Hey Dave,

How about an update after a summer on your 14 threefiddy xcf.

Especially interested in impressions vs EXC with the lighter flywheel and taller 1st gear in the woods, if that was an issue or if the Rekluse solved that?
Any maintenance / reliabilty issues? Stator ran everything you needed?

Hypothetically, would you think it could be a viable "dualsport", mostly just to connect trails in a friendly jurisdiction...

It's a race machine! 1st gear is not too tall, it is perfect because it can actually be used (and was used a lot). I use stock gearing 13/50.

The bike was rock solid all year. No complaints after I got the 4CS revalved and the suspension working well. Luckily my first revalve attempt did the trick. :D IMO, the suspension valving was flawed and was stiffer than the 6 days and SXF versions. The suspension is a cross between trail and MX valving. It does not reward the slow rider on rough terrain. It was excellent on most terrain at faster speeds. The bike is stable.

The red fork seals and fork wipers were problematic but that was solved by SKF replacements.

Dualsport for gravel road connections would be good. I don't ride on the road so I'm not experienced but with 6 gears it seems like it can handle some transfer sections at low RPM.

It will be for sale after Oct 5 if interested.

Grip Heaters are required again and the 2020 KTM 250XCTPI doesn't have a wiring harness like the older KTM 2T XCs had. So I plan to use these instructions to set up a similar wiring harness to run grip heaters and a headlight on the 2020 unit.

If there are any changes to this for the 2020 unit I'll post them up but it looks pretty much the same. :thumbsup:

Man the grip heaters running from the battery are amazing. I had to run them on low power all day because they just work so well. :D

The only real difference from the 350 to the 250 TPI is the mounting of the relay. I used a piece of that foam strip stuff that comes with skid plates to provide vibration reduction for the relay and zip tied it to one of the unused relay mounts on the battery bracket. (picture) Worked great. Now to figure out how to wire up a stock headlight plug on the bike so I can plug in the headlight for night riding. :thinking:

Thanks for keeping a 9 year old thread alive - seriously. We need to revive more of these and get new threads going and get this forum going again. Social media sucks, topics end up with a bunch of bafoons and trolls ruining most topics and people refrain from posting. When this forum was in its hay day, luckily very little of that happened, it was just a bunch of local singletrack riders with same same passion and a club that set a new standard in Canada for singletrack riders. :thumbsup:
