I'm starting to feel dirty now, not only is my bike BLUE, it has an extra unattractive appendage hanging off of the right side ........ Grosss !!!! :crazy: WR dave

With all the trouble I have with the e-start on my bike thank god for the kickstarter !! By the way the winner of the solve the problem contest was Dobi. Changed the plug to the KX 250F plug and it runs awesome now !!

Do you know what plug that is? I've got a 2008 450 XCW that won't start also.

It looks like it is a CR8E. I think that was also the WR250F plug. :thumbsup:

I put CR9Es in my WR250F, that's what was in it from stock.

The spark plug you want is the CR9EIX Iridium from NGK. It made a huge difference on my 08 450xcf. There is also an electrical connector just in front of the gas tank, above the shifter side rad. If you leave disconnect this the bike will run a little better IMO. The manual does mention this and says something along the lines of closed = max performance, open = smoother performance.

The dual mapping is somewhat noticeable on the 450SXF. It is only $20 for a switch to mount on the handlebars to tune on the fly. I think the GasGas one is what most are using.

The KTM dual mapping switch is abnormally large, at least to me. I use the smoother setting on my 530 pretty much all the time. Its way nicer when the trail is soupy or traction is hard to find.
