Suspension shops in Calgary

Post by JasonP »

Hi All, I am looking to get my suspension re sprung and revalved. I would like to have someone in or around Calgary do it so It will be easier to get follow up support. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

When my fork seals went I took it to pro-action and he was a good guy to deal with!

Yeah he was going to be my first choice, but after reading some threads on this forum about the owners illness i figured i better look elsewhere.

Hi Guys,

Any other places besides pro-action in calgary? Fork seals are done!

Sad to hear about the owner's illness at Pro-Action :( I've heard he is an awesome guy to deal with

A mechanic that used to work here has a Suspension shop, its Freedom Cycle, his name is Cory, his ph # is 403 226 6095.
He's done all the lowering of KTMs for our shop, plus work for lots of friends, I think he does a very good job, plus hes KTM certified for all you orange fellows. Does lots of MX stuff.

Crewes Power Motor Sports (403) 720-0466

They re-did my forks quickly and for a good price.

Thanks for all the suggestions folks. I've contacted a few places and recieved a few responses. Now I am looking for anyones personal experiences and reviews with the following places.

Rock Central Cycle in Calgary
Enzo Racing in High River
Freedom Cycle in Calgary

Since the prices are all pretty similar I'm more interested in customer service, work quality, follow up support and stuff like that.
Feel free to PM me if you dont want to share publicly.
Thanks again everyone.

Lots of great feedback on Freedom on this end, plus when he was working here, he did lots of stuff on my bike. I really like Cory, hes very thorough. He's taught me alot, I also really appriciate the fact that he's willing to explain what he's done in detail, and why he's done it. He was also kind enough to give me a few riding lessons :)

Andy at Rock Central Cycle is good. Once a pro level offroad racer. Good understanding of what's going on in the bike.

I would go to Tim at Enzo myself. Also Pro level racer. But very up to date on lots of KYB and Showa technology. Access to DrD and Enzo testing and settings that happens in California. So has settings with a lot of research behind them. So a good chance it's not just a shot in the dark.
