Dave, wow?
i loved him as a player, actually i wore #16 when i was drafted at 10 into the 'big leagues' for a team that wore Flyer home and away jerseys in Toronto. The next season i was captain. The year 1974.
Hence, the Flyer loving.
Too bad he has been a terrible manager. He NEVER adresses goaltending. Other than Hextalls great year and almost winning the cup against Edmonton in 87, we have never had goaltending.
Tom
Yeah, when it comes to goaltending, he kind of looks the other way. Pelle Lindbergh could have been the difference, before his tragic death. He should have picked up Curtis Joseph when he had the chance, instead of John Vanbiesbrouck.I do respect him though, you don't get any BS from him, he tells it as it is.
i cried when PL died
i do not think that the Oilers would have been the dynasty they were if Pelle was alive.
Tom
P.S.
i bought a 2006 XCW 300 for pick up next Spring
Good for you Tom, I'm sure you will really like the new 300. I sure liked my '02 EXC300. Once I put in a Recluse clutch in my Honda this winter, I'll get the gearing situation resolved, and should beable to pick it up a bit on the single track.
Dave
Don't worry guy's there is still alot of Blue on the board. It makes it easier to find your bike in the parking lot these days. And they look nice in the sea of Orange. LOL---- WR Dave.
" Old Canadian Tire Supercycle 12 speed Mountain Bike " Good call Porschev !!
Congrats Tom and Chuck! Looks like a ride on a 300 (or perhaps lifting it instead of the big blue!) helped make the decision Chuck! There are gonna be quite a few 2006 300's out there next year. Huh.. gonna make my bike look old! lol!
