Very Cool Design.

"In the simplest terms, instead of trying to seal the rim to keep air in the tire, Nuetech sealed the gap between the two tire beads with a special rubber inner liner (which is a fancy way of saying bicycle tire). You read that right! By putting a one-off bicycle tire in the center of the rim and inflating it, the gap at the bottom of the tire is sealed, making the tire an airtight chamber (sans a tube). It turns the outer tire into the motocross equivalent of a bicycle’s tubular sew-up tire."

Are you running these?

I have run it and it works extremely well on new tires. You can't be cheap and constantly swap tires around as the rim lock will effect the sealing capabilities. You can run a dirtshark with 2psi in it and never blow a bead or ding a rim.

How long does it last? Do you have to replace it everytime you mount a new tire?

I assume it will last a number of seasons. There is no wear on it like a normal tube or mousse. The review from Motocross Action mag was a 5 star, that is what prompted me to buy it. They have done follow up reviews and it is still running strong for them. I have used it to wear out 4 or 5 tires and it shows no signs of wear.

I should also note that once it is installed on the rim (5min) it is super easy to mount tires up. You do not have to worry about punching the inner tube as it is protected by the red outercover and the rim lock is super strong, no worries about overtightening it.
