I'm debating which spring would be best for 190# w/o or 220# w/gear on same bike, 7.2 or 7.6, any advice? A fork spring suggestion would be cool too?

What bike do you have? A 250? The 250 designation is the length of the spring in mm.

sorry I was referring to the bike on the bottom of your post(signature). Mine is actually a 200 w/electric start, only 5lb lighter I think.

I would think you need the 76-250 but I'm not %100 sure. Fork springs probably 46s

I run a 72-250 on my Husaberg and am 200+/- 10 lbs. I would expect the 76-250 would be quite stiff for a 200, even for a fellow of fine musculature similar to my own.

The race tech calculator actually recommended the stock spring rate (67 kg/mm) for a 190 lb (bare) rider but they did try to sell a progressive spring...

Others may have good advice but it might get missed in this forum... better to search and read a little and then post in Technical if you still have questions.

Hope that helps!

Most people (including myself on a 10 XC) would say it's the free sag thats critical. Set your rider sag, ~100mm to 110mm depending on what you like, and you should have 30mm under the bikes own weight. to little? spring is too soft (you have the adjuster cranked) too much ... you get the idea.

I ran the Race tech spring rates, and had no trouble at the MX track. I would be on the softer side for the riding around here. Big springs + lots of valving to control them = harsher ride.

Just my $0.02

Still available

I have had some emails regarding shipping them and online payments. Sorry but I will only accept cash and pick up in person on Calgary.
