Were you riding or driving? If riding how's the single track and ridges etc? Would a hand syped tire do the job?

We rode until 11:00 last night and there was an easy 1' 1/2" of snow on the high side of moose mountain. Their was 9 of us and we had a blast riding down the trails in an uncontrollable skid. :smirk:
I did not get the chance to stop at Mclean due to the time but I would be surprised if it was any different, as it down and across the road from moose by 5 10 minutes. I did look at the turn off to Mclean and there is defiantly enough snow for home brew studs as Brent mentioned.

Hope that helps a little, have fun if you go out this week.

We just got back from the SE corner of mclean and there is a fair bit of snow in the low lying area's (3-4").

Riding without studs gets sketchy in sections, I would recommend you run them if you have them.

that snow is gonna stay now. it got really windy and warm yesterday, so a lot melted, but only where the sun and wind hit. the heavy treed areas or cold valleys will hold snow until may, so just stud em up. if you are on fresh dirt sharks or something gummy like that, with really low pressure, you should be alright. just as long as everyone has the same setup...then it's always fun. :D

Was out at Ghost today - conditions are surprisingly good (much less snow than McLean). Some snow/ice in the shade but not enough to really need studs. It's supposed to be sunny and warm all next week so conditions are likely to stay good for riding.

Is Mclean still open to bikes?
I thought it was closed Nov1 to May1?
