Trail Conditions, talk about a ride that you went on. Where to ride? If are looking to organize or join a ride please post in the "Upcoming Rides and Events" forum.
Well Thanks guys for a great ride, great weather and no major injuries. Glen, Mike (X 2), Derek(thanks for the patches and pump), Ryan,Tom, Trudy,Dave and Andy. With that large of a group it turned out great and I made to my sisters in time for turkey.
Thank-you Claude and Andy and Dave for leading the way - that was a VERY fun ride! As well for being able to watch Andy's fantastic skills and a chick who rocked and could teach me a thing or two!! As soon as I get some time (and figure out how to do it) I'll post some pics from the ride.
Cheers y'all
Derek
Yeah it was a great ride. Thanks to everyone for waiting up for me and/or following behind my slow self. When I grow up I wanna be as fast as Trudy!!!!

and a special thanks to Claude for being the tour guide/mother hen for the day. Some awesome trails that I hadn't ridden before that I can't wait to get back on.
Thet is the meadow at the top of Quirk Ridge or the start of what most call Swanee's. There was no snow however there was some icy, wet sections up high, not many though. I was surprised at how little snow and wet we encountered. Hope it stays that way for awhile!

When you say back side do you mean riding the singletrack along the top from the North to the South or coming up out of the valley to the west, winding through the trees and then a steep loose scramble up the steep graasy clearing to reach the ridge trail? That climb is challenging for sure. Helps to have a fresh tire and a little moisture in the ground on that one.
