Bar C/Transalta Rd

Post by MtnBlue »

As of sunday the blue bridge was out(about a 10-15' drop from the bank to the bridge). The trunk road was closed a couple of km's north of the gate. Apparently the road is washed out in four areas all the way upto Hunter Valley. As of 8:30 tues morning the stream gage at Waiparous creek is still about .7m above it's usual reading, although it is down about 1.5m from what it was reading on sunday  Thought I'd post this if anybody was heading out that way in the next couple of days

I spoke to the campground operator on Wednesday and he said the road is good and the campgrounds are good, but the little bridge at Hunter Valley, at the race staging area is gone!! Sweet!!
