I'm wondering what condition the area is in? Do you want to do the old HS loop or different area? Perhaps Barwell would be better since it is higher ground?

I was thinking 6:00pm? Middle lot or Fischer?

Lot's of questions because I'm not sure about the area.

I'm nervous about the conditions. It might make more sense to stay away for a little while to allow the terrain to dry out a bit. I don't want to impact the land out there and I hope everyone else doesn't either. So I'm proposing the barwell trails from Fisher staging area. The area is on high ground and it is made of hard rocky trail. If the trail looks too soft, we'll turn back.

So who's in?

I'll be there at Fisher Staging area at 6. I was talking to the campground office at Maclean and she said that it was getting dusty already. Should be a good evening for riding!

It'll be a bit of a work party! Reddog and crew may not arrive until 6:30pm.

Hey Fellas, I went for a ride last night. Barwell is mint...rock doesnt wash away. We stayed away from lower trails for obvious reasons. There are huge ruts everywhere....esp on hills like the widow. There are little surprises for you everywhere....the odd part of the trail that has washed out...some new log crossings...and some puddles that are much deeper than you would normally expect.... overall things look pretty good given the amount of rain....but I would definetly ride a tadd slower the first time out.

If you are staging at the middle staggin area and turn off the gravel road from the McLean Creek store....be carefull around km #2 or #3 there is a VERY soft section of road.

Have a great ride.

PS - Thanks to Terry and Kevin for helping out my buddies last night!

It's 10:30 at night now and I am choked as I didn't get to join in at Maclean since I read the site too late. Arrrgghh! :banghead: Serves me right. Would have been a perfect night to ride although it looked like them coulds were setting up to dump again.

Hey I got my membership card and welcome letter in the mail today. I am officially a member. Cool! Now to enter a race.

MotorEd, was that you at Fisher staging area around 10:00pm? If it was, I was one of the guy’s in the blue Dodge. Glad to here you guys made out all right.

Barwell is good, but with some tricky spots…. Stay high, stay dry!!!
