Guided Ride with pics
Last Thursday was beautiful.
Dirtyboy, Dude, Hoppy and myself met early to get a pre ride in before meeting the guided ride group.
We tried a few trails but they were impassable. The stark reality is Mother Nature can be a biatch
Typical trees lying 'whole' throughout the forest.
The sun was hot and the skeeters were chewing but it was still a supreme but also frustrating day.
FUN

The Guided Ride
Our guide today was Dude. This is him about 1/2 km from the stage area. See him? He's down there.....he flew (literally) off the ROAD over the edge and smack into and thru a tree. He was very lucky to just be bruised and scratched.

Great pics Tom! Thanks for making the effort and a big thanks to the guys for a great ride! It pushed both Ian and I to the next level of challenging hills and single track to work on and we had some great views in the process! No charge for the "stoppy" (nose wheely to endo) Dirtyboy, so much fun cause I didn't kill myself. Ian reminded me about a lesson Dobi taught him, crack the throttle and go in with the front wheel in the air, not nose down...you had to be there. And many thanks for the valued mentorship to my son, riding with you means the world to him! Its off to Fisher to cut and mark trail Sunday. See all you volunteers out there.
