Saw a Griz today

Post by MtnBlue »

Did an 80km loop up near Fallen Timber/Hunter Valley. On our way back to Mockingbird, about a 4 year old Griz wondered out on the trail :jawdrop: Last year I saw 2 in the same area.

Lucky you getting to see a grizzly bear. We saw bear tracks in the snow for 4 km last weekend in the same area.

Sounds like you had a good long ride.

Yeah it was a bit of a mission, but we were able to complete everything without any snow or ice problems. It's pretty early in the season, so it's nice to see the trails in pretty decent shape. It was a great ride, until the last 30 min., then it started to rain pretty hard. Some of the single track I was on looked like it hadn't seen a tire yet this year. We had a few areas where we had to stop and clear some blowdown, all in all a very fun (and tiring) ride.
